Have you ever tripped across a website and wanted to share parts of it? Here's a free tool ("Web Highlighter") that will let you annotate that page, and share your notes and observations. You and your colleagues need to download it from
PC Magazine.
Visiting the long home page of the International Telework Association and Council
(ITAC,) I saw one nugget worth sharing (below, on the left).
Using "Web Highlighter," I marked the important part, to draw attention to it. I sent several people an eMail with that website address, along with an exported highlighting file as an attachment. They imported that attachment into their own copy of "Web Highlighter." When they visit the website, here's what they see:
Before (without Web Highlighter)

After (with Web Highlighter)

Nothing changed on the ITAC website at all; the highlighting is in the extra "Web Highlighter" file I sent. Internet Explorer picks up those unique notes and displays them along with the original site. Very clever!
